Academic Bootcamp

A conference for physicians to strengthen scholarship skills in an area of academic focus.

September 25, 2025 - September 28, 2025
Snowbird Cliff Lodge
Snowbird, UT

REGISTRATION WILL OPEN JANUARY 2025

The CCHMC Academic Bootcamp is a destination CME conference in Snowbird, UT (just outside of Salt Lake City) sponsored by the Division of Hospital Medicine at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. The conference provides a unique opportunity for participants to obtain mentorship from an elite group of faculty to strengthen their scholarly skills. Faculty are nationally-recognized experts in their respective fields, drawn from multiple leading institutions. The conference is structured to allow for foundational group instruction, practical small group work, and ample time to enjoy the amenities of the conference resort.

Participants will be asked to choose a track related to an area of scholarly interest at the time of registration; however, all participants will engage in content related to the basics of scholarship design and leadership skills to promote academic success. The conference is also unique in that we are limiting the number of participants, so as to allow for a more intimate experience and the opportunity to network with both faculty and participants. Our goal is for participants to create communities of practice so they can continue to learn from each other outside of the conference, including opportunities for post-conference virtual check-ins.

Exciting Opportunity for Experienced Researchers!
This year, we're thrilled to introduce an advanced track, "Track 2," specifically designed for those who attended the 2023 Academic Bootcamp or already possess foundation of research skills. If you’re passionate about taking your project to the next level, this track is for you! Come prepared with a project to refine and develop during the conference through interactive group sessions and hands-on workshops. Stay tuned for more details on this exciting new addition!
